MGH Food Allergy Buddies
Since 2021, I have been a Big Buddy in the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Food Allergy Buddies Program. As a Big Buddy, I design and lead educational programs for elementary and middle school kids with severe food allergies. As a young adult who lives with life-threatening food allergies diagnosed since age one, I have developed skills and strategies for navigating the world, and this is one opportunity to play this forward. I support children in building confidence and life skills safely. I expanded the program from purely elementary school students to include all kids with food allergies, no matter how severe.
