Creation Inclination 501(c)(3)
During my junior summer, I applied and was selected to participate in the Innovation Everywhere Internship hosted by WPS Institute. Through seed grants, recruiting mentors, and organizing a team of motivated peers, I incubated and developed Creation Inclination, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to increase accessibility and inclusion in STEM education in local under-resourced communities. We launched with colossal ideas for creating meaningful impact, ultimately settling on building a mobile trailer makerspace. Our project quickly took a turn in the wrong direction: we learned that our target market was oversaturated; some team members were disengaged; and legal roadblocks revealed that we couldn’t own a trailer. Despite these setbacks, I have continued to evolve the group, and we are on track to receive substantial funding from various grants as we begin to build and expand our mission.
